Internships with the Aspen Institute Romania 

Aspen Institute Romania is a non-profit, non-partisan, organisation and the newest partner of the prestigious international Aspen Institute network established 60 years ago in Aspen Colorado. Our goal is to facilitate open, informed, and meaningful dialogue between leaders on current political, social and economic issues and to promote enlightened values-based leadership.   

We are currently accepting applications for internships in the field of Communication and Public Relations as well as Research. The duration of each internship period is three months. The internship would involve working with the Aspen Staff on Public Relations for the Institute and/or with the policy programmes coordinator. Work during the internship would involve updating the web site, designing, editing and publishing communication material, active involvement in the Institute's development of promotional materials and methods, participation in the organization of several Aspen events and working with the Programmes Director and Executive Director on the PR and communication. For the research internship, work would imply searching and preparing relevant information dedicated to the development of policy programmes, conference packets and preparatory stages of policy events, liaising with the Aspen Institute network as well as policy partners: think tanks, government, academia, public and private corporations.  

Requirements: 

- university degree, preferably in communication and PR, politics, or social sciences for the communications internship/economics, political sciences, public policy/administration social sciences for the research. Candidates may be students in their final year of studies or masters students in relevant domains

- very good Internet skills and experience in web-page management

- strong organisational skills

- good time management

- research experience

- excellent knowledge of English   

The internships are not paid however benefits include a small transport stipend and per-diem as well as indirect benefits related to participation in Aspen Network programmes. At the end of the internship period recommendation letters and certificates are provided by the Aspen Institute.
